Adjunct Professor Barry Golding (Federation - formerly Ballarat University) has been a leading light in the Men's Shed movement in Australia and internationally. From a background in community education he has focused his research interests on men's learning and wellbeing. leading to the August 2015 launch of the book The Men’s Shed Movement: The Company of Men.

By May 2015 there were 1,416 Men’s Sheds open globally: 933  across all states and territories of Australia.  The Australian Mens Shed Association (AMSA) brings it all togteher.One of the 933 is in Newstead and Rocket Science has the pleasure to be the guest of the Newstead Mens Shed for this session.

Barry Lacey will also present, to talk about what this global movement has led to here in our town.
